2:27. וַיֹּאמֶר יוֹאָב חַי הָאֱלֹהִים כִּי לוּלֵא דִּבַּרְתָּ כִּי אָז מֵהַבֹּקֶר נַעֲלָה הָעָם אִישׁ מֵאַחֲרֵי אָחִיו ׃

2:27. כז ויאמר יואב--חי האלהים כי לולא דברת  כי אז מהבקר נעלה העם איש מאחרי אחיו

2:27. וַיֹּאמֶר יֹואָב חַי הָאֱלֹהִים כִּי לוּלֵא דִּבַּרְתָּ כִּי אָז מֵהַבֹּקֶר נַעֲלָה הָעָם אִישׁ מֵאַחֲרֵי אָחִיו׃

2:27. ‏וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יוֹאָ֔ב חַ֚י הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים כִּ֥י לוּלֵ֖א דִּבַּ֑רְתָּ כִּ֣י אָ֤ז מֵֽהַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ נַעֲלָ֣ה הָעָ֔ם אִ֖ישׁ מֵאַחֲרֵ֥י אָחִֽיו׃

2:27. Joab replied, "As surely as God lives, if you had not said this, it would have been morning before the people would have abandoned pursuit of their brothers!"

2:27. Then Joab said, "God only knows what would have happened if you hadn't spoken, for we would have chased you all night if necessary."

2:27. And Joab said, As God liveth, if thou hadst not spoken, surely then in the morning the people had gone away, nor followed every one his brother.

2:27. And Joab said, "As God lives, if you had not spoken, surely the men would not have given up the pursuit of their brothers until the morning."

2:27. And Joab said, [As] God liveth, unless thou hadst spoken, surely then in the morning the people had gone up every one from following his brother.

2:27. And Joab said, "As God lives, if you had not spoken, surely the men would have given up the pursuit of their brethren in the morning."

2:27. And Joab said, As God liveth, if thou hadst not spoken, surely then in the morning the people had gone away, nor followed every one his brother.

2:27. And Joab saith, `God liveth! for unless thou hadst spoken, surely then from the morning had the people gone up each from after his brother.`

2:27. Then Joab said, "As surely as God is alive, if you had not said something, people would still be chasing their brothers in the morning."

2:27. Joab said, As God lives, if you had not spoken, surely then in the morning the people had gone away, nor followed everyone his brother.
